Manifesto!
02:36
|
|||
I am not a nationalist
I am not a patriot
I pledge no allegiance
To any flag or government
I am not the working-class white
I am not the Christian Right
I’ll never tow a party line
Or fool myself with party lies
Look at me
Touch my skin
I won’t stand for your political shit
I am human
Say my name
Touch my skin
I won’t stand for your political shit
I am human
I am not a liberal dem
I am neither us nor them
And all the little brown kids
Are not just future terrorists
I am not a capitalist
I am not a communist
I am not a political label
I am an individual
Look at me
Touch my skin
I won’t stand for your political shit
I am human
Say my name
Touch my skin
I won’t stand for your political shit
I am human
A human soul can’t be controlled
A human soul can’t be labeled
A human soul is a beautiful thing
Look at me, I’m a human being

American Insanity
03:12
|
|||
There’s a woman dressed like Napoleon
In a pantsuit on a podium
Take a look at the situation
American Insanity
There’s an angry red-faced carnival clown
On the TV running for president
Take a look at the situation
American Insanity
Situation’s critical
Time is running out
When did the war of words get physical
And who let the watchdogs out?
There’s a fool dressed up like Buffalo Bill
Throwing punches at a party
Take a look at the situation
American Insanity
The demagogue’s on stage
Saying welcome to the party
Take a look at the situation
American insanity
Situation’s critical
Time is running out
When did the war of words get physical
And who let the watchdogs out?
Build a wall carpet bomb
Crimes against humanity
This is where we fall apart
American insanity
Kill our own before they’re born
Crimes against humanity
This is where we fall apart
American insanity

Girl In A Hurricane
03:21
|
|||
Be yourself if you want to be
Don’t hide away from the things that you see
When you see the darkness rolling in
Here comes the hurricane again
Tomorrow will come and you can take it on
So take your time
It’s not too late for you to
Fix the things that break inside you
To find your strength you’ve got to
Look inside yourself and know you can live through another day
In the hurricane
Take some time to get back on your feet
Lessons learned don’t need to be repeated
Hard days will come and they will go
Yesterday’s a TV show
Tomorrow will come and you can take it on
So take your time
It’s not too late for you to
Fix the things that break inside you
To find your strength you’ve got to
Look inside yourself and know you can live through another day
In the hurricane

Heavy Heart Broken Soul
02:49
|
|||
Tell me all about your deepest secrets
Tell me all the sins that you’ve been keeping
Under the surface of your callous skin
Tell me about the girl you used to be
The lonely little girl that you never really left behind
I can see her in your lonely eyes
I can tell that you’ve got a heavy heart
It’s wearing you down
I can feel your broken soul
It’s tearing you down
So lean on me, baby girl
Tell me how the drug made you feel like flying
Tell me how the needle pierced your skin
And offered the solution for your heavy blues
Tell me how your first love played a trick on you
Made you fall in love, but it wasn’t true
How does it feel to be used
I can tell that you’ve got a heavy heart
It’s wearing you down
I can feel your broken soul
It’s tearing you down
So lean on me, baby girl
You’ve been beat down
You’ve been robbed blind
But I wouldn’t do that to you, Baby
Not this time

Rosalee
03:26
|
|||
Mumbai, red lights
Red eyes, red nights
Her name, is Rosalee
Pretty girl, thirteen
She don’t know a thing about Jesus
But she knows where the devil goes at night
Underneath her mother’s bed
She holds back tears and hides her head
Cuz mama knows it don’t pay to be
A pretty girl, thirteen
She don’t know a thing about Jesus
But she knows where the devil goes at night
Mama goes to work just to please him
But Rosalee she stays out of sight
Maybe she could run away
Find a place that’s quiet
She’s never been free and unafraid
But Rosalee, she could try it

Idiot List
02:39
|
|||
They’ve got your name on their idiot list
They want your money or your angry fist
They’re telling you that you’ve got the power
They’ll say anything to keep control
To keep you under control
Do you have a heartbeat
Can you think for yourself
Can you follow your own feet
Are you waiting on somebody else
Do you have a heart beat
Do you have a heart
They don’t see humans as people
They see politics and dollar signs
You feel free, but you’re somebody’s robot
Pull the plug, and open your eyes
Open up your eyes
Do you have a heartbeat
Can you think for yourself
Can you follow your own feet
Are you waiting on somebody else
Do you have a heartbeat
Do you have a heart
Are you listening
Can you hear me
Are you waking up
Do you have a heartbeat
Can you think for yourself
Can you follow your own feet
Are you waiting on somebody else
Do you have a heartbeat
Do you have a heartbeat
Do you have a heartbeat
Do you have a heart

Kids These Days
03:05
|
|||
You’ve got nothing to complain about
Plenty to eat, Places to hang out
Stop asking questions and just watch TV
Your life looks pretty easy to me
No sense of responsibility
And I’ll take no responsibility
For the way you feel like everybody owes you
There was nothing wrong with the way I raised you
Stalking the streets to scream and shout
I don’t even know what you’re screaming about
I blame video games and what’s on TV
Politicians, musicians, anything but me
No sense of responsibility
I’ll take no responsibility
For the way you feel like everybody owes you
There was nothing wrong with the way I raised you

It Kills
04:24
|
|||
You caught me in a lie today
You said I was your sun and moon, but now I’m the pouring rain
I said I wouldn’t let you go
But I’m not an honest man
I said I wouldn’t hurt you baby
But I’m just a man
Everybody knows, love is a battleground
We can win or lose, but it’s going down tonight
You said that you were gonna find a way out
Put down the gun and the poison pills
You said that you were gonna find a way out
But you’ll stay alive even if it kills
Today I crossed the line
We’ve been this way before, you said ‘it’s different this time’
you said, ‘I can’t forgive you baby
Even if I tried
Can’t forgive you baby
Even if I tried’
Everybody knows, love is a battleground
We can win or lose, but it’s going down tonight
You said that you were gonna find a way out
Put down the gun and the poison pills
You said that you were gonna find a way out
But you’ll stay alive even if it kills
Oh, you never remember
You never remember the good times
But you never forget
You never forget how I let you down

Baggage
02:41
|
|||
You’re playing the victim
I’m playing the fool
Taking all the blame
For things I never did to you
Everyone’s got baggage
I’m paying extra for yours
My spirit is willing
But my flesh is heading for the door
I’ve got some baggage too
Can’t stand the things you do
Feels like we’re out of tune
Babe you’re my baggage
You want to see my reaction
I want to tell you the truth
I know the rules of attraction
I’m losing patience with you
Blame it all on the baggage
Why can’t you leave it behind
I try to put up a fight
Got me losing my mind
I’ve got some baggage too
Can’t stand the things you do
Feels like we’re out of tune
Babe you’re my baggage

Heart Hanging Out
05:12
|
|||
You wear a mask to hide from the world
But the mask lets everybody know just who you are
You showed your ass at the party last night
Now everybody wants to know exactly who you think you are
No, You can’t go around
With your heart hanging out like that
Take a look at this town
Everybody’s been down like that
You had a woman any man would love
She gave you everything, but everything was never enough
They say the grass is always greener
Nothing could be meaner than the way you treated her
She hung in strong
Till she couldn’t hang on no more
No it didn’t take long
She’s not crying over you no more
Whoah I guess you better take it slow
Do what you gotta do to let her go
No, you can’t go around
With your heart hanging out like that
Take a look at this town
Everybody’s been down like that
You think you’ve got it under wraps and chains
But I can tell from looking in your eyes it’s a crying shame
I’ve seen the kind of woman you’ve been hanging around
Gonna take you down brother, only gonna cause you pain
No it doesn’t make a sound
When your world comes down on your head
So you take a walk downtown
Find another empty gown, and you take her to bed
Whoah I guess you better take it slow
Do what you gotta do to let her go
So you take a walk downtown
Find another empty gown, and you take her to bed
No, you can’t go around
With your heart hanging out like that
